1940s line coat with a light waist, double-breasted eight-button placket, peak collar, set-in sleeves. A feature that makes it special is the presence of patch pockets with flaps on the sides and the handkerchief pocket on the chest. Lifting the flap as well as under the collar, we find a contrasting tobacco-colored melton. Melton is a very traditional felt in men's tailoring. Widely used for under-collars and pocket flaps in the 1920s and 1930s, it allowed for less thick stitching around the perimeter of collars and flaps and therefore a better aesthetic result. The large perimeter stitching gives the garment a certain military sportiness that tones down the classic impact of the coat.
Inside, we find a cotton lining with two security pockets. The sleeves are lined in twill as in the best tradition.
The material used for this garment is NEW LODEN, a totally sustainable wool item since the raw material used comes entirely from regenerated material, therefore zero impact. The wool is selected by color at the source, therefore no dyes or chemical agents are used in the manufacturing processes, to guarantee an absolutely non-polluting supply chain.
