BOSTON FW STRONG WAX
Heavy waxed cotton parka. In the past, waxing was one of the few methods available for waterproofing fabric. Wax was spread on the fibers to compact them, close the gaps between the wefts, and above all to grease the yarn, which, with this method, became water-repellent. The characteristic of this treatment is the ability of the fabric to mark with every movement, giving the impression of being able to write on the garment. However, a little light heat is enough for the wax to recompact and restore its original surface. In this case, the waxing is double-layered, giving the fabric a vintage, used-paper look. The garment is roomy and comfortable, with two large flap pockets and a simple hood. It fastens with snaps and features the characteristic drawstrings with a leather toggle. The front closure is secured by a zip that runs up to the collar, and snaps on the zip guard. Inside, it has two security pockets and a fleecy, woolly lining.

Lining
FODERA

Models with a detachable liner maintain our regular fit. However, we recommend sizing up if worn over a jacket.

Many of our fabrics are water-resistant , designed to bead up. However, they are not waterproof: if immersed in water, they can become wet.
